I have an idea for an oversized pair of pants with very wide legs—about 15 to 18 inches wide. The fabric color is beige. From the knees up to the thighs, I want to add a traditional Afghan cultural design or pattern. However, this pattern should not be stitched. It should be applied in a way that it fades or disappears when the fabric is lifted or when the person moves. I want to create a matching oversized coat or blazer using the same base color and design logic. The coat should have the same Afghan-inspired pattern starting from the bottom and fading away toward the shoulders, revealing the original beige color underneath. The idea is that both the pants and the coat will have a cultural pattern that appears clearly when standing still, but fades or blends into the fabric as you move.
