Hi 👋🏽
I’m looking to custom-make a traditional wedding guest dress and I’d like to combine a few design elements I love.
I want a fitted corset-style bodice with a defined waist and a soft deep V neckline (not too revealing). The bodice should have traditional patterns and embroidery/beading inspired by the brown dress I shared, mainly focused around the neckline, bust, and waist.
From the waist down, I’d like a pleated skirt like the white dress — knee-length or slightly below the knee, with no sheer/sieve fabric at the bottom as I’m not the bride. The pleats should start at the waist to flatter a curvy body and skim over the tummy.
For fabric and overall feel, I want something bold, playful, and eye-catching like the orange dress, but still elegant and appropriate for a traditional wedding. I’m thinking a warm colour palette (orange, brown, gold tones).
Sleeves can be off-shoulder short sleeves or structured cap sleeves, whichever will flatter a fuller figure best.
The goal is a dress that defines the waist, gives movement when walking, and looks rich and traditional without looking bridal.
Please let me know if this is possible and what fabric options you’d recommend. Thank you 🌸
