A soft romantic velvet midi dress Fashion Design

A soft romantic velvet midi dress with a gently rounded sweetheart neckline and soft structured bust cups. The bust has a subtle 1 cm gathering along the top edge, creating a delicate, feminine curve. Medium-width straps (1.2–1.5 cm) extend from the cups toward the back, elegant and supportive. The dress features an empire waist with a softly curved V-shaped waistband that narrows the waist and elongates the upper body. Below the waistband, a flowy A-line midi skirt begins, with 6 to 8 soft pleats that add movement without adding bulk at the hips. The skirt falls to mid-calf length on a 1m64 woman, with a light, luxurious drape. Fabric is stretch silk velvet in berry mauve (or smoky plum), rich and soft with a subtle sheen. Back has a shallow U-shape neckline above bra level, medium straps attached symmetrically, and an invisible zipper in the center back. The overall style is romantic, elegant, vintage-inspired with a modern Y2K softness, flattering for a pear-shaped body with a 75C bust.
